♡Info about my translating♡

i translate from jp to eng. japanese is not my first language. i am mostly self taught since about 2014. i have experience translating since 2015 starting with small content from mobile games and improved a lot through doing this.i don't currently take commissions and i don't get paid for what i do so everything i do is just for fun and my own enjoyment. that means i work at my own pace on my own schedule. i don't usually care if someone else has already done something before me. i tend to prefer writing summaries or paraphrasing to directly translating every line because it works best for the format i prefer (Twitter threads).

I love otome games and other josei-muke media! I was introduced to otomege through the DIABOLIK LOVERS and AMNESIA anime in 2013. The first game I actually played was AMNESIA -Memories- in 2015. I'm able to consume JP games but I'm enthusiastic about EN localization!
I like a wide variety of genres, scenarios, and characters! I am a yume, but I interact with games differently depending on the characters, protagonist and plot; sometimes I self-insert with specific characters, but I usually view the protagonist as their own person. I'm a 100% completionist and a bad end enjoyer. I'm supportive of dark themes and taboo topics in games (I adore the DIABOLIK LOVERS series and Rejet works in general). I tend to binge read and plow my way through games rather than taking it slow one chapter or route at a time. I tend to rank my enjoyment of a character separately from my enjoyment of a route, i.g. sometimes I LOVE a character but hate his route. Overall I'm relatively easy to please and difficult to completely disgust so I've yet to play a game I hated so much that I couldn't finish, nor have I encountered a LI I couldn't stand one bit.
I haven't played many games despite my fairly long-at-this-point history with otomege because I haven't had a lot of access to them, due to not have a PSP or Vita and not having much money to buy games. Now that I'm older and the Switch is the new "otome machine," I'm able to enjoy many games that I've always wanted to play! I love to chat about otome games and make new friends!
